Appearance
Speedy is a tall, slim, well-built and navy-teal-feathered bird of some kind, possibly an eagle (specifically, a Black-and-white hawk-eagle), with two differing tufts; a big bushy tuft on his forehead, and a smaller tuft on the back of his head. Almost the entirety of his face, down to his neck and stomach, are colored in a shade of white with a noticeable pale blue tint, and he also possesses small tail feathers, thick van deusen-blue eyebrows, bright sky-blue eyes and a light yellow beak.
Speedy's main attire consists of a set of light sky-blue headphones with a microphone attached to it, along with a star design on the right ear shell. He wears light beige collared shirt under a brown aviator jacket with light beige trimming, two lighter-colored pockets placed on the lower part, a white zipper line with light brown trimming, and two small badges on each side of the front. He also wore navy-blue pants with thin burgundy-red stripes on the sides, and brown dress shoes with beige shoelaces and darker-colored soles.
In Rod Cockadoodle Didn't, Speedy wore his sleepwear which consists of a chest-exposing brown robe with matching slippers.
Personality
Speedy is a friendly, generous and tranquil bird, as he is arguably the calmest member out of Team Top Wing. He often takes his role as the main instructor rather seriously, as it's clear he loves his job and is determined to do it respectfully.
Due to his role, he is exceptionally smart and rational when it comes to training the cadets, as he enjoys guiding them through their missions or generally helpings others in Big Swirl Island. Despite his down-to-earth nature, however, Speedy appears to have a tendency to become nervous when having to faced well-known and respected Top Wing associates - more specifically, CJay, his old instructor, or Inspector Eagle-Eye.
Similar to Bea, Speedy is good-hearted, understanding and supportive, as he sometimes acts as a father figure towards the cadets.
Trivia
- Speedy's species of bird hasn't been confirmed, but some have speculated that he's an eagle. This is supported by the game "Word Train" that used to be on the Nick Jr website, where there is a sentence "Speedy is an eagle!"

- This was further backed-up due to his old plane being named "Little Eagle", as vehicles in the show are sometimes named after their species (e.g; Rod's "Rooster" Booster).
- Along with his unconfirmed species of bird, he is never shown to be flying which, while it isn't uncommon for some bird characters in the show, some of their species are at least confirmed to be birds who are capable of flight.
- Rhonda's Rockin' Family Reunion, Hasselhawg Swim Lesson, The Big Swirl Balloon Race, and Dodo Egg Scramble are the only episodes where Speedy doesn't appear in.
- Additionally, Rooster Brewster is the only episode where Speedy appears without Bea.
- Top Wing Big Swirl Games is the only episode where Speedy has no dialogue.
- In Swift's Family Flying Ace, it is revealed that he was a Top Wing Cadet, with the appearance of CJay as his former teacher and his old training plane, the Little Eagle.
- Speedy is the only member of Team Top Wing that doesn't have an episode named after him.
